Donegal Tweed Jacket

Sleeves too long

Love this jacket, but my sleeves are too long. I ordered the functional sleeve buttons so I think it will be hard for a local tailor to shorten them.

Great Jacket at great price - minor fit issue

Being my first venture into made to measure purchase online, I was hesitant / didn’t expect a fit like my bespoke suits so I started with an inexpensive item to test the service. The fabric was beautiful, sleeve and jacket length was spot on. My only complaint was with the shoulder measurement. The custom tailor I’ve used for years and others I’ve asked measure should width with a slight arc; from shoulder seam to shoulder seam but taking the tape up a bit to touch the base of the collar on existing garment or nape of neck on body. This arc accounts for about .25 inch to .5 inch difference compared to a straight line from shoulder seam to shoulder seam (as the studio suits helper picture suggests). My shoulder width is 18in measured the customary way, but I figured I would follow the studiosuits instructions since they would know better, right ?

Wrong. When I got my jacket the shoulders were a touch too tight. I got out the measuring tape. Seam to seam (straight line at the shoulder) was 17 inches. But when measured the customary way, it was 17.5. As you can see, the site instructs one method of measurement, but that value is used for a different method of measurement by those making the suit (which use the right way), leading to the discrepancy.

As this was my test run, I will account for this on any future orders. Otherwise this review would be 5 stars. Love this jacket.

PERFECT fit!!! I ordered a 36S in the Donegal Tweed jacket and it fits me perfectly. I had previously ordered the entire suit - jacket/vest/pants and customized via measurements taken. The pants and vest fit me however, the jacket was too small. Therefore, I ordered the jacket only in 36S and now my suit is complete! The material is excellent quality.

All black leather suit

Quality of this suit is impeccable!
Ordered 32/34 in pants, definitely could of gone up to a 34/34 since there is no stretch in the pants, but after wearing it once or twice hoping it will loosen up just a bit.
Jacket is a 40Long and could have also gone up to a 42 just to have a bit more room to move in.
Overall this suit is definitely worth the money! The pants and jacket are actually thick material, just trying it on i was sweating after 3mins.
I will definitely order again from studiosuits without question! Just need to tweak my size a bit.

Vintage Herringbone Brown Tweed Pants

Beautiful work

The Nile Blue linen suit arrived in a couple weeks and exceeded expectations. Great texture and quality. Adds a unique, elevated component to my wardrobe.

Tweed suit in camel with a purple tie - does not blend in to the crowd.

The jacket is a little tight across the shoulders but that is likely down to my measuments, I’ll go a cm or two larger next time. Everything else is perfect, I love the material and the colour. This ensemble is not shy in a room.
